End of the Year

You know, I could  do a big end of the year retrospective of the things I have made and the yarn I have acquired this year, but that just isn't going to happen. So relax.

Here is the start of my adaptation of Peacock Feathers into a stole:

The yarn is a 3/84 cashmere/silk that I am knitting doubled. The color just glows and looks like coppery red hair. I was using a 3mm needle but decided the fabric is too open so I started again using a 2.75mm and like the look better. The beads are 11/0 in a peacock mix of teal, purple, green and gold.

And yesterday's mail brought this beautiful pumpkin Infinity Silk from Fyberspates -- 3000 meters of it! I've no idea what I will make with it. Petting it is delightful.

We're not doing anything special for New Year's. Belfast has a lot of activities today and tonight culmination in the bonfire on the waterfront. Tomorrow we plan on immersing ourselves in a Doctor Who marathon. No football here!
