I am liking the new design for Eve's Temptation so knitting it is fun again. Now I am playing with placing beads --always a fun activity.

I can never tell until I have knit it whether I will like the look of a given piece of the pattern. I like the bottom element -- they look like snake heads to me -- and maybe there should be another repeat. Won't know for a while.

And I am happy with the serpentine movement on the edge pattern --
All of those things are good. I am not so sure about the yarn. The color is great -- it seems very serpent like to me, though why I have no idea. But I am not becoming a fan of Dream in Color Baby for knitting lace. It is heavy for a lace weight and the feel of it is not as nice as Kim Kaslow's yarn that I used in Arabian Nights. Maybe it is that it is a superwash wool but it lacks a certain softness that I have come to expect in the lace yarns I have been using. And I miss the faint sheen of silk that comes with the wool/silk blends. I have some lime silk coming from Colourmart which might be a happier choice for this project -- we'll see. Also I like knitting on small needles. I am using a US 4 with this yarn and could easily go up 2 or even 3 sizes. But that would not make me happy. So I am liking the design as it is emerging but the yarn -- meh. Oh and the color is more yellow-green that these photos show.
