Venison Goulash

My son-in-law got a deer this year so one gift we received from him and my daughter was a nice package of venison stew meat. Yesterday we decided to make venison goulash.

It's actually a very simple recipe -- brown the venison with some onions and garlic. Then salt and pepper and sweet paprika plus smoky paprika, if you have it -- be generous with the paprika, at least one tablespoon. Add 1/2 can of tomato paste, 1 cup of stock of your choice, 1 cup of wine. Simmer slowly for 2-3 hours, until meat is tender. Serve over noodles or with biscuits as we did. Yummmmm!
