Are you concerned about whether or not you can afford therapy?
I understand this concern, especially in these times. Many of my previous patients have felt the same way. Those that have made the decision to invest in themselves, however, have found that their lives have improved immensely. I usually have my clients fill out a survey when our work is done, and it asks them if they felt that therapy was worth the money. At the end of therapy, most say
* they have been able to resolve issues that stood in the way of their happiness
* they have a new sense of self
* they find relief in sharing their story
* they have learned new skills to deal with problems in life
Therapy is not magic. It isn't quick. It is work. It does work.
Let me describe how I assess fees for individual therapy. First, I do not accept third party payment. This allows me to have a sliding scale for fees according to your circumstances and ability to pay. My usual fee is $85.00/session for individual work.
