I have a private practice in mid-coast Maine working with adults, both individually and in groups. In addition, I am willing to work by telephone and/or by email for those who do not live nearby If you are interested in learning more about Jungian psychotherapy and working with me, please email me.
Jung Study Group
For people interested in exploring Jung in greater depth, I offer a study group concentrating on the psychology of C.G. Jung through the reading of his Collected Works. This group provides a structured environment for participants to read the writings of Jung to learn his psychology at a deeper level. More than an academic venture, this group seeks to live and breathe the process of analytical psychology through reading, discussing, and the relating of the material to the member's growth and life experience.
It is not possible to cover the full range of Jung's thought in one year or even two, so we take up selected topics and volumes each year.
Year one has covered Jung's memoir, Memories, Dreams, Reflections, and portions of Collected Works dealing with complexes, psychological types, shadow, individuation and love and marriage. We are now in our second year and reading Aion.
No prior knowledge about Jung is required.
New members are welcome at any time.
This group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. -noon.
Email me with questions or for further information about this group. You may contact me by email using the form at the left.
Dream Group
A dream group is a sanctuary for all participating, a lovely reflective and deepening place in the middle of our busy lives. We begin by taking dreams on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone who wants to will get a chance to do dream work. Generally in a two hour group we work with three or four different people's dreams. This group is appropriate for virtually anyone interested in dreams. We will use a Jungian approach to understanding dreams, but prior training is not required. Perhaps the most important thing is that you really love dreams and/or want to learn more about your own dream process. We will begin each time with a check-in or housekeeping period where, for 15 minutes or so, members can bring news to the group, provide follow-up on something from the last meeting, or just share a life situation or event that is up for them.
We meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 4-6 p.m.. The group will go on as long as there is interest, though I do ask that members commit to 8 sessions to start, if possible.
If you are interested in participating in a dream group, please email me for more information.
